Building Collapse in Punjab: Multiple Individuals Likely Trapped

Chandigarh, Dec 21 (NationPress) A six-storey building has crumbled in Mohali district of Punjab on Saturday evening, resulting in several people being trapped under the debris, according to officials.
The rescue operation is currently in progress to extract individuals trapped beneath the rubble.
Two teams from the Army's local engineers unit have been called in by the Mohali administration to aid in the rescue efforts.
Rescue missions are actively ongoing, and one individual has been successfully rescued and transported to the hospital.
"The operation is ongoing. Teams from the NDRF, police, and fire services are present at the scene. An investigation into the cause of this incident will be conducted," stated Senior Superintendent of Police Deepak Pareek during a media briefing.
Authorities estimate that between 10 to 11 people could be trapped beneath the rubble.
