Lucknow, Sep 21 (NationPress) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath urged the youth to set ablaze the effigies of injustice, corruption, atrocities, and addiction during the Vijayadashmi festival.
Speaking at the Namo Yuva Run for a drug-free India, he rallied the youth with chants of 'Bharat Mata ki jai.'
This significant event took place at 75 venues as part of the Sewa Pakhwada initiative launched by the BJP to celebrate Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 75th birthday.
The 'Namo Yuva Run' commenced at Kalidas Marg and concluded at 1090 Chauraha (intersection).
Highlighting the potential of youth, he emphasized that if the younger generation adheres to the correct path, it will greatly benefit the nation.
These special initiatives, which started on September 17, will run until October 2.
He underscored the significance of discipline, stating that a disciplined youth represents the greatest strength of the nation.
Furthermore, he mentioned that Prime Minister Modi has provided the nation with GST reforms as a Diwali present, aimed at reducing the prices of essentials like milk, curd, cheese, and clarified butter, while imposing substantial taxes on addictive substances.
The GST Council had revealed these reforms on September 3, set to take effect on Monday.
The Chief Minister expressed optimism that these GST changes would help lower inflation, enhance purchasing power, create jobs, and boost the economy.
The Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), which initiated the campaign on September 7, noted that the extensive run aimed to promote awareness regarding fitness, health, and social responsibility.
Prime Minister Modi launched the Sewa Pakhwada from Dhar in Madhya Pradesh with the 'Swasth Nari, Sashakt Samaj' initiative.
He pointed out that when women are healthy, the society and the nation thrive.
On this occasion, BJYM conducted blood donation drives, health camps, and the Swacch Bharat campaign, among other activities.
