Bhubaneswar, Oct 30 (NationPress) In a significant advancement for railway infrastructure in Odisha, the Ministry of Railways has recently sanctioned the establishment of 92 railway overbridges (ROBs) throughout the state, with the complete project expenses to be covered by the Railways Department.

On behalf of the citizens of Odisha, CM Majhi expressed his appreciation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw for their substantial and proactive assistance in the enhancement of the state's infrastructure.

“I extend my heartfelt thanks to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw for their unwavering support in fortifying railway infrastructure in Odisha,” the Chief Minister remarked. Initially, it was agreed that both the Centre and the Odisha government would co-fund the construction of 92 ROBs, sharing 50% of the total cost.

In a subsequent appeal, the Odisha government requested the Union Ministry of Railways to assume complete financial responsibility for the project.

In response, the Ministry of Railways has now granted its approval for full Central funding for the construction of all 92 ROBs and has formally communicated this decision to the Odisha government, as stated by the Chief Minister's Office (CMO) on Thursday.
