Chennai, Jan 15 (NationPress) The Greater Chennai Traffic Police (GCTP) have shared comprehensive traffic plans for Thursday, anticipating a significant influx of visitors to Kamarajar Salai for the Kaanum Pongal festivities.
The GCTP has assured that regular traffic will be permitted on Kamarajar Salai as much as feasible.
Nevertheless, traffic diversions will be enforced as vehicle numbers rise.
Vehicles traveling from the War Memorial to the Lighthouse will be allowed to proceed on Kamarajar Salai as usual, while those heading from the Lighthouse to the War Memorial will be redirected at Kannagi Statue to turn left onto Bharathi Salai, navigating through Bells Road Junction and Victoria Hostel Road to reach their destinations.
Both heavy and light commercial vehicles will be banned on Kamarajar Salai towards the Lighthouse from 1:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
