Raipur/Narayanpur, Jan 12 (NationPress) The police have successfully unearthed a significant stash of Naxalite arms and munitions from the rugged and challenging mountainous region close to the Mandoda New Security and Public Facility Camp, located within the jurisdiction of the Kohkameta police station.

The discovery of these weapons occurred on January 10, as confirmed by an official on Monday.

This successful operation was made possible due to credible intelligence provided by vigilant local villagers, underscoring the strengthening collaboration between the community and law enforcement in the area.

A collaborative team, consisting of District Reserve Guard members and Indo-Tibetan Border Police officers, acted promptly under senior leadership.

This operation is part of the final stages of the comprehensive anti-Naxalite Maad Bachao initiative, aimed at eradicating Naxalite influence and transforming Bastar into a peaceful, empowered, and developed region free from insurgency.

The official noted that authorities are dedicated to maintaining pressure on Naxalite networks while simultaneously enhancing community relations.

Among the items seized were 94 large arrow bombs, 70 small arrow bombs, three improvised firearms, and 15 iron pipes, indicating preparations for potential assaults.

Medical and support supplies retrieved included 17 packets of syringes, three packets of bandages, six strips of vitamin tablets, 46 strips of Nimesulide and Paracetamol tablets, ten Chromostat injections, two bottles of glucose, one strip of DIFENPAR, one piece each of LiG Nocaline and Adrenaline, six Castor-NF pieces, one PROPODINE-Plus piece, and 24 TAXIM pieces.

This diverse collection suggests an effort to maintain an operational field medical setup alongside combat readiness.

In Narayanpur district, police frequently engage with local villagers, spreading awareness about various government welfare programs and aiding them in accessing benefits.

This outreach has built trust and encouraged residents to provide actionable intelligence regarding concealed arms caches, Naxalite sympathizers, and ongoing subversive activities.

Such community participation has become a fundamental aspect of the anti-Naxalite strategy. In line with the state government's broader goals, police and administrative sectors are actively executing the Niyad Nellanaar scheme around existing security camps.

Villages in these areas are now receiving critical infrastructure, including reliable electricity, safe drinking water, all-weather roads, anganwadis, schools, ration distribution points, and primary health centers. These improvements aim to elevate the quality of life, diminish alienation, and bolstering public faith in governance.
