Chhattisgarh's CM Vishnu Deo Sai Launches Poster for 24th National Vanvasi Sports Competition

Raipur, Dec 24 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, Vishnu Deo Sai, has officially launched the poster for the 24th Rashtriya Vanvasi Kreeda Pratiyogita (National Vanvasi Sports Competition), hosted by the Akhil Bharatiya Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram, at his residence in Raipur.

The Chief Minister conveyed his heartfelt wishes to the organizers for this pivotal event, highlighting its significance in advancing the welfare of the Vanvasi community and fostering a vibrant sports culture.

According to Chief Minister Sai, this competition will serve as a crucial platform for uncovering the skills of tribal athletes. It will also enhance camaraderie among participants from various states. He emphasized that this event is being organized with a commendable purpose and will spotlight the potential of Vanvasi youth.

The National Vanvasi Sports Competition is set to take place from December 27 to 31, 2024, in the capital of Chhattisgarh, Raipur.

The inauguration will occur on December 28 at the Science College Ground, where approximately 800 athletes from diverse states, including Andaman, Manipur, Punjab, and the neighboring country Nepal, will gather to compete. The event will showcase athletes demonstrating their abilities in football and archery.

Present at the event were notable figures such as Minister of Forests Kedar Kashyap, Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, Umesh Kachhap, Dr. Anurag Jain, Ramnath Kashyap, and others.

Prior to the event, all players, coaches, and managers received a warm welcome in Raipur, celebrated with tilak and floral bouquets at the Shabari Kanya Ashram premises. Among the athletes from Andaman and Nicobar, two individuals from the particularly backward tribe, Great Andamanese, namely Jurol and Pigri, are set to participate. Players from Manipur expressed their joy at being welcomed in Raipur and praised the arrangements made for the competition.

All athletes appeared eager and filled with enthusiasm for the forthcoming events in the competition. The residents of Chhattisgarh are keenly looking forward to the commencement of these distinctive games.
