Chief Minister Dhami Initiates Verification of Madrasas in Uttarakhand

Dehradun, Jan 10 (NationPress) The Uttarakhand government, steered by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, has mandated a detailed verification of madrasas functioning in the state to ensure compliance with legal standards and regulations.

To guarantee that all institutions conform to the legal framework, Chief Minister Dhami stressed that stringent measures will be enforced against those managing madrassas without appropriate authorization.

While addressing the media on Thursday, CM Dhami stated, "We have issued explicit directives for the verification of madrasas across the state. We will implement strict actions against those operating madrassas unlawfully."

The verification process is expected to include an evaluation of madrassas' credentials, infrastructure, and their compliance with educational norms and government regulations.

Furthermore, the Uttarakhand Chief Minister also reacted to remarks made by Samajwadi Party (SP) Chief Akhilesh Yadav regarding the Maha Kumbh.

"Those who have fired on karsevaks and oppose the Ram Mandir will not grasp the significance of Kumbh. Such statements should be avoided; anyone attending Kumbh will be remarkable. This grand event will unfold under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath," he remarked.

As preparations for the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj gather pace, Indian Railways has unveiled robust plans to facilitate the safe and efficient travel of millions of pilgrims to and from the sacred city.

Dilip Kumar, Executive Director of Information and Publicity at the Railway Board, detailed the extensive strategy to manage the anticipated surge in travelers.

The official announced that Indian Railways will deploy over 10,000 trains, including 3,300 special trains, to accommodate the large influx of passengers for the Sangam Snan, a pivotal event of the Mahakumbh.

Kumar further indicated that special arrangements have been made to handle crowds, including color-coded waiting and holding zones at stations for unreserved passengers.

Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh is preparing to host Mahakumbh 2025, commencing on January 13 and concluding on February 26.

For security, Uttar Pradesh Police will implement a seven-layer security plan to prevent any incidents during this massive religious gathering.

Additionally, the police have launched an extensive checking campaign to ensure the safe execution of Mahakumbh 2025.

More than 2,700 AI-enabled cameras have been installed to bolster security.

The Uttar Pradesh government has also allocated 125 road ambulances and seven river ambulances specifically for Mahakumbh.

The Mahakumbh is celebrated once every 12 years, with over 45 crore devotees anticipated for the occasion.

During the Mahakumbh, devotees will congregate at the Sangam, the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers, to partake in a sacred dip believed to cleanse sins and offer moksha (liberation).

The principal bathing rituals (Shahi Snan) will occur on January 14 (Makar Sankranti), January 29 (Mauni Amavasya), and February 3 (Basant Panchami).
