Mumbai, Nov 7 (NationPress) Singer and actor Lisa Mishra is making a spectacular comeback to the stage after a hiatus of 15 years with the play ‘A Perfect Time To Panic’, directed by Akarsh Khurana.
Reflecting on her return, Lisa expressed to IANS: “Coming back to the theatre after so long feels exceptionally special. ‘A Perfect Time To Panic’ is witty, hilarious, and profoundly relatable. Collaborating with Akarsh Khurana and an outstanding cast on a production that combines creativity, timing, and emotion in such an innovative way is truly an honor.”
“The vibrancy of live theatre is unparalleled; it’s unfiltered, immediate, and incredibly vibrant. I’ve longed for that connection with the audience, and this play seems like the ideal project to reignite that joy. I eagerly anticipate what audiences will experience from our collective effort,” added Lisa, who was recently featured in “The Royalty.”
This performance marks the 90th production by Akvarious Productions and will debut during the annual Prithvi Festival, one of Mumbai’s most prestigious theatre celebrations.
The talented cast features performers such as Taaruk Raina, Chaitnya Sharma, and other skilled artists. The play is scheduled to be performed at Prithvi Theatre on November 11 and 12.
Akarsh Khurana is also recognized for directing the acclaimed Netflix series ‘Mismatched’, the celebrated film ‘Karwaan’ starring Irrfan Khan, and his extensive contributions as a screenwriter and actor.
Lisa has previously produced major hits such as Tareefan (Veere Di Wedding), Aa Mil with Zaeden, and Sajna Ve with Vishal Mishra, among numerous others. She has also contributed as a songwriter and vocalist on tracks like I Love You So Much by DJ Khaled and Single No More by Chance the Rapper.
Her debut album, Sorry, I'm Late, was released by the artist in May 2024 and seamlessly blends Indian and Western pop influences.
