Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Explores Collaborative Opportunities with Google Team

Amaravati, December 11 (NationPress) - The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, N. Chandrababu Naidu, convened a meeting on Wednesday with a team from Google to discuss prospective collaboration areas.

The Chief Minister noted that this meeting was a continuation of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) established between the state government and Google, with the delegation led by Bikash Koley, Vice-President of Google.

Naidu expressed, "Our modern, forward-looking industrial policies have fostered a business-friendly environment, attracting a multitude of investors and creating job opportunities," as he shared on X.

"The delegation provided insights into their operations and disclosed their ambitious plans for India. I take pride in the fact that Andhra Pradesh has been recognized as a pivotal partner. We explored numerous potential collaboration avenues during our discussion," he stated.

"I firmly believe that partnerships with global tech giants like Google will empower our state, making a significant contribution to India's digital development. I look forward to collaborating to realize these initiatives," added Naidu.

In addition, the Chief Minister highlighted the MoU with Google during a conference with District Collectors on the same day.

He commended Nara Lokesh, the Minister for Information Technology and Electronics, for his role in facilitating the MoU.

Naidu expressed hope that, thanks to Lokesh's efforts, Google would establish its operations in Visakhapatnam, which would enhance the growth of the port city.

On December 5, Google announced a strategic collaboration with the Andhra Pradesh Government to expedite the implementation and adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) throughout the state.

This partnership aims to advance the development and deployment of AI solutions, focusing on crucial sectors such as healthcare and sustainability, while also enhancing digital infrastructure, AI skills training, and supporting the local startup ecosystem.

The MoU was officially exchanged in Amaravati, with Nara Lokesh present, between Bikram Singh Bedi, Vice President and Country Managing Director of Google Cloud India, and S. Suresh Kumar, Secretary of the Real Time Governance Society in Andhra Pradesh.

Under this MoU, Google will work alongside the Andhra Pradesh government to integrate AI and ML solutions in vital areas including healthcare and environmental sustainability.

The collaboration will also emphasize skill development, aiming to bridge the digital divide by equipping citizens with essential training and resources to excel in an AI-driven economy.

Furthermore, Google will partner to bolster the state's startup ecosystem, igniting innovation and entrepreneurship in the AI sector.
