Google Partners with Andhra Pradesh to Propel AI Innovations

Amaravati, Dec 5 (NationPress) Google is set to assist the Andhra Pradesh government in propelling advancements in Artificial Intelligence throughout the state.

Under a recent agreement with the Real Time Governance Society, signed on Thursday, Google will offer skill enhancement programs in schools and colleges, provide training for startups and established industries in AI-based solutions, and lend support in critical areas such as healthcare and sustainability. This collaboration aims to improve digital infrastructure and nurture a strong startup ecosystem within the state.

Additionally, Google will organize training sessions focused on AI-related services for startups, traditional industries, and small sector business organizations.

The partnership agreement was formalized between Google and the state government on Thursday.

Google will also collaborate with the State Government in vital sectors like healthcare and environmental sustainability, integrating AI and ML solutions effectively.

The state government has taken a significant step towards creating opportunities that align with global trends in Artificial Intelligence.

This agreement, aimed at fostering advanced innovations in Artificial Intelligence, was signed in the presence of Nara Lokesh, the Minister for Education, Information Technology, and Electronics.

The pact was signed at the State Secretariat by Lalitha Ramani, General Manager of Google's Indian operations, and Suresh Kumar, Secretary of the Real Time Governance of the State Government.

Attendees included Saikanth Varma, CEO of the AP Economic Development Board (EDB), Dinesh Kumar, CEO of the Real Time Governance Society (RTGS), Kartikeya Mishra, Secretary of the Chief Minister's Office (CMO), senior officials from the State Government's Investment Wing, and others.

Lalitha Ramani, General Manager of Google Maps, noted that this Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aligns with Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu's vision of delivering improved and expedited services to the populace through the utilization of AI.

Lokesh emphasized that enhancing the Ease of Living is the core policy of the State Government, with a primary objective of providing faster services to citizens via mobile platforms, eliminating the need for them to visit government offices.

Expressing satisfaction over the MoU signed with Google, Lokesh highlighted the initiative to offer superior AI-based future opportunities to the youth. He stated that Google will play a crucial role in equipping the workforce with AI-based empowerment.

The Minister is optimistic that the youth in the state will now receive skill training that meets global standards, unlocking vast opportunities for them.
