Chief Minister Sharma Declares 'Run for Viksit Rajasthan' as an Annual Celebration

Jaipur, Dec 12 (NationPress) Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma announced on Thursday that the 'Run for Viksit Rajasthan' will be established as an annual event on December 12 to motivate the youth to play a role in the progress of the state.

This statement was made during the 'Run for Viksit Rajasthan' event held at Amar Jawan Jyoti.

CM Sharma emphasized that this endeavor, commemorating a year of governance, represents unity, determination, and progress. He mentioned that when the youth thrive, both the nation and the state advance. Their energy, enthusiasm, and talent are essential for elevating Rajasthan to new heights. He expressed optimism that the aspiration for a developed India and a flourishing Rajasthan can be achieved through collective effort.

To boost participation in the 'Run for Viksit Rajasthan', the Chief Minister joined the youth in running, showcasing his simplicity and enthusiasm.

More than 10,000 individuals, including members of NCC, NSS, RAC, Home Guard, and the general populace, took part in the event.

The Chief Minister reiterated Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of achieving ambitious goals and resolute objectives for India's future. He remarked that the mission of creating a developed India resonates with every citizen and aligns with his administration’s vision. Quoting Swami Vivekananda, who stated that the 21st century would belong to India, CM Sharma noted that the Prime Minister has made this vision a reality, with the century now belonging to India and its youth.

CM Sharma also celebrated the accomplishments of state athletes, who have consistently earned medals at both national and international competitions. He proudly highlighted the state’s success at the Paris Paralympics, where athletes achieved three medals, including gold and bronze.

To enhance sports support, the government is creating world-class facilities and has signed MoUs totaling Rs 15,000 crore during the Rising Summit. Through the Target Olympic Podium Scheme, 50 gifted athletes will receive elite training. Moreover, Rajasthan is set to host the Khelo India National Youth Games in 2026.

The Chief Minister unveiled initiatives such as the Sports and Youth Policy and the establishment of Maharana Pratap Sports University to foster sports and youth development within the state.

Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Colonel Rajyavardhan Rathore also underscored Prime Minister Modi’s initiatives such as Fit India, Yoga Day, and Swachh Bharat, aimed at promoting health and cleanliness among the youth. He praised the Chief Minister’s efforts in generating job opportunities, with plans to deliver four lakh government jobs and enhance private sector employment over the next five years through initiatives like Rising Rajasthan.

The Chief Minister released balloons symbolizing the vision of a developed Rajasthan and initiated the marathon. He also awarded cheques and certificates to athletes, including international medalists Avni Lekhra, Mona Agarwal, and Sundar Singh Gurjar.

The event was attended by MLAs Gopal Sharma and Gurveer Singh, Chief Secretary Sudhansh Pant, Director General of Police U.R. Sahu, senior officials, and athletes, among others.
