Patna, Oct 18 (NationPress) Union Food Processing Minister and Lok Janshakti Party-Ram Vilas Chief Chirag Paswan asserted on Saturday that the political landscape in Bihar is distinctly leaning towards the NDA as the Assembly elections approach.
At a press conference at Patna airport, the Union Minister stated, "We have effectively arranged the seat-sharing by honoring each party's strengths. Our focus is on further reinforcing the alliance."
He expressed appreciation towards the BJP and JD-U for their collaborative spirit during the negotiations.
"I am grateful to the major parties -- BJP and JD-U -- for demonstrating generosity and allocating significant seats to other partners in the alliance. We have already announced candidates for all 243 constituencies in Bihar," he noted.
He emphasized that the NDA aims to nominate strong and winnable candidates for every Assembly seat.
"Our mission is to secure victories across all seats. The seat allocations have been made with a view to the candidates' potential for success," added Union Minister Paswan.
He also declared the official commencement of the NDA's election campaign in Bihar.
"We have kicked off our campaign in Bihar. I will be present at the nomination submission event for our State party President, Raju Tiwari. Leaders from other NDA factions have also initiated their campaigns. We are targeting a 100% success rate, replicating our performance from the 2024 Lok Sabha elections," he stated.
Targeting the Opposition, Union Minister Paswan asserted that the Grand Alliance (RJD, Congress, Left parties, Vikassheel Insaan Party) is embroiled in internal conflicts rather than addressing the needs of the Bihar populace.
"Conversely, the Grand Alliance is in utter chaos. They have yet to finalize their seat-sharing arrangements, and many candidates are competing against one another," he remarked.
When questioned about the Opposition's assertions that RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav will lead the next government in Bihar, Union Minister Paswan refuted the claims.
"Who is claiming that Tejashwi Yadav will govern Bihar? Even his own allies in the Grand Alliance do not recognize him as their leader. There is significant confusion within their ranks. I doubt the people of Bihar will accept such a disjointed alliance," he said.
He also criticized the Opposition INDIA bloc, stating that a coalition riddled with internal discord and unclear leadership cannot provide stable governance.
"If Tejashwi Yadav continues to assert he will form the government in Bihar, it reflects the level of confusion within the Opposition INDIA bloc. Such an alliance cannot offer coherent leadership or direction for Bihar," he concluded.
