Patna, Sep 19 (NationPress) Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) MP, Shambhavi Choudhary, expressed her support for Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s claims that the Congress is safeguarding infiltrators for political advantages. In reaction to Amit Shah’s address at Delhi’s Thyagaraj Stadium, she emphasized that the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) initiative by the Election Commission is crucial for maintaining the electoral process's integrity.
“What Amit Shah stated is entirely accurate,” Choudhary informed IANS.
“The Special Intensive Revision is being executed to fortify the electoral mechanism and ensure only eligible Indian citizens possess the right to vote. Voting is a sacred aspect of our democracy. Regrettably, Rahul Gandhi’s opposition to this initiative suggests he aligns more with infiltrators than with the citizens of this nation.”
She further challenged the Congress party’s intentions, suggesting their resistance to the voter verification process is not in the nation’s best interest but rather aimed at securing votes from unauthorized entrants.
“The Election Commission of India (ECI) is undertaking this entire operation for voters who are legitimate Indian citizens, yet Rahul Gandhi's objections appear to aid infiltrators. They are prioritizing infiltrators over the welfare of our country’s populace,” she asserted.
Addressing RJD leader and former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav’s recent 'Bihar Adhikar Yatra' — a campaign focused on unemployment, inflation, and crimes against women — Choudhary dismissed it as mere electoral theatrics.
“Tejashwi Yadav is on a yatra now because elections are approaching. But after the last elections, he disappeared. What development has he achieved since then? This time, the people of Bihar are firmly aligned with the NDA. Under Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s guidance, genuine development is evident. These yatras are futile exercises with no significant impact,” she remarked.
Criticizing Tejashwi’s campaigning tactics, she added, “He’s not distributing pens to students—he’s disrespectfully tossing them, disregarding what we revere as the symbol of Saraswati. This reflects his mindset. Despite all his efforts, even his own alliance doesn’t view him as a suitable Chief Ministerial candidate.”
Choudhary also criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, suggesting he had utilized regional allies like Tejashwi for his 'Voter Adhikar Yatra' and is now pursuing an independent political route.
“As for the alliance, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has utilized them in his Yatra. Now, he’s on a solo expedition,” she added.
During the five-day campaign, Tejashwi will be traveling to 10 districts of the State that were neglected during the ‘Voter Adhikar Yatra’ led by the Congress leader.
The five-day 'Bihar Adhikar Yatra' will encompass the districts of Jehanabad, Nalanda, Patna, Begusarai, Khagaria, Madhepura, Saharsa, Supaul, Samastipur and Vaishali.
