CM Majhi Promises Mechanism for Implementing MoUs from Utkarsh Odisha Conclave

Bhubaneswar, Jan 29 (NationPress) Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Wednesday assured the investors that the state government will establish a mechanism to work continuously towards actualizing the Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) signed with industries and the investment intents received during the Utkarsh Odisha – Make in Odisha Conclave 2025 into reality.
A total of 145 investment-related MoUs worth ₹12.89 Lakh Crore were signed during the two-day conclave. These investments are projected to generate over 8.94 Lakh job opportunities across various sectors including chemicals & petrochemicals, textiles, mining and metallurgy, renewable energy, IT/ITeS, tourism, and food processing.
In addition to the signed MoUs, 448 investment intention forms with a total investment value of ₹3.84 Lakh Crore were received, which have the potential to create 3.92 Lakh jobs.
The state received an overall total of 593 projects with an investment of ₹16.73 Lakh Crore and an employment potential of 12.88 Lakh across more than 20 sectors.
During the closing session of the two-day conclave, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi stated: “I recognize that cost and time overruns are significant deterrents for industries. We will address this and ensure there are no undue delays in project execution. My office is readily accessible to you, and I am just a phone call away to assist you with everything you need.”
The Chief Minister emphasized that this Utkarsh Odisha conclave has reinforced Odisha’s status as a global investment hub.
He revealed that delegates from over 16 countries, including Singapore, Malaysia, and Australia, participated in this grand conclave.
He also expressed that Odisha aims to be the gateway to South-Eastern countries and encouraged all to establish Odisha as their business hub for exports.
During his address, he noted the enthusiasm and significant interest among investors in doing business within the state.
The Chief Minister further acknowledged the concerns raised by some investors and industry leaders during the conclave.
He assured that the government would consider every suggestion and take necessary actions to enhance the business ecosystem and the ‘ease of doing business’ in Odisha.
Expressing that the success of the conclave reflects his government’s dedication to creating an investor-friendly environment, Majhi highlighted that Odisha’s Industrial Policy Resolution, single-window clearance system, and emphasis on ease, speed, and cost of doing business guarantee that industries can flourish in our state.
“Let us unite to make Odisha a land of endless opportunities. Together, we can build a Samrudh Odisha that aligns with the aspirations of every Odia and contributes to Viksit Bharat 2047. This is the moment, and the right time,” concluded CM Majhi.
