Patna, June 25 (NationPress) The Leader of the Opposition in the Bihar Assembly, Tejashwi Yadav, has fiercely criticized Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, claiming that he is implementing unrealistic schemes out of fear for electoral loss.
In a pointed post on the social media platform X, Tejashwi labeled the recent announcements from the Nitish administration as mere election ploys.
Taking aim at the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), Tejashwi remarked, "Given the strength of the Mahagathbandhan, the people's desire for change, and the evident defeat looming in the elections, the corrupt Bhunja Party (the Nitish Kumar government) will resort to any kind of announcements."
The term "Bhunja Party," a mocking reference used by Tejashwi to deride the Nitish Kumar administration, exemplifies the escalating rhetoric from the opposition as Bihar approaches the 2025 Assembly elections.
Tejashwi taunted, "The Bhunja Quartet is so frightened that they are announcing a separate school, a distinct sun, a station, a hospital, and even an airport for every household."
His comments followed the Nitish government's unveiling of numerous welfare initiatives, including the establishment of marriage halls in every panchayat and subsidized meals under 'Didi Ki Rasoi,' which the government claims will directly aid rural and economically disadvantaged families.
Addressing Chief Minister Nitish's perceived political flip-flopping, Tejashwi asserted, "It is pointless to anticipate any stability from a Chief Minister who has taken an oath five times in five years. The leader who once questioned, ‘Where will jobs come from, where will money come from?’, is now announcing unrealistic schemes.”
Importantly, on Tuesday, Tejashwi articulated his vision for governance should the RJD secure a victory in the Assembly elections.
Reflecting on his 17-month tenure during the previous administration, the former Deputy Chief Minister boasted that under his leadership, 5 lakh jobs were created, and an additional 3.5 lakh jobs were initiated.
