New Delhi, June 16 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, announced on Monday during an event in Ambedkar Nagar that the 'Akbarpur' bus stand will now be known as Shravan Dham bus stand. Additionally, he revealed that the Tanda bus stand will be renamed to Jairam Verma bus stand in honor of the late Jairam Verma.

Highlighting the significance of Shravan Dham bus stand, the Chief Minister stated that this change serves as a tribute to the rich cultural and mythological legacy of Shravan Kumar from the Ramayana.

During his visit, he launched and laid the foundation for 194 development projects worth Rs 1,184 crore. The event also included the inauguration of 102 projects and the groundwork for 92 new schemes.

In a pointed critique of the opposition parties, particularly the Samajwadi Party and Congress, he remarked, "Some individuals are opposed to the state's advancement, favoring only their family’s growth instead."

While refraining from naming specific political entities, he noted, "Certain parties indulge in caste politics to further their electoral ambitions, thereby creating societal divides and dampening the spirit of festivals. It is high time we reveal the true nature of such individuals."

Reinforcing the government's zero tolerance policy, the Chief Minister asserted that Uttar Pradesh is now both riot-free and crime-free. He cautioned that those who threaten the safety of women and business owners will face severe consequences.

In a related note, Akhilesh Yadav from the Samajwadi Party questioned the recruitment numbers for candidates from PDA (Pichhda, Dalit, Alpasankhyak) communities concerning the newly appointed constables in Uttar Pradesh. This statement followed the government's distribution of appointment letters to 60,244 newly hired constables, including 12,000 women.

"No administration can conduct recruitments by altering the rules. The BJP directs accusations towards us to deflect inquiries concerning the PDA community and their rights. This is merely their propaganda. No one can engage in propaganda as effectively as the BJP," stated Yadav.
