Have Congress Leaders Become Heroes of Terrorism in Pakistan?

Hubballi (Karnataka), May 3 (NationPress) Union Minister for Food, Public Distribution and Consumer Affairs, Pralhad Joshi, has criticized the Congress party, alleging that certain Congress leaders have become celebrated figures in Pakistan concerning terrorism.

During a press interaction on Friday in Karnataka's Hubballi, the Union Minister stated, "While the attack in Kashmir was labeled as 'Hindu terror' and the Mumbai attack was attributed to the RSS, these Congress leaders shamelessly displayed 'Gayab' posters and reveled in Pakistan's delight. Isn't this a form of treason?"

"On one hand, they profess support for any measures taken by the Central government against terrorism, yet on the other hand, they echo sentiments akin to those of Pakistan. They surpass even the rhetoric of Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge," he continued.

He claimed that three ministers from the Karnataka government, including Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, have ascended to the status of heroes in Pakistan.

"Pakistanis are celebrating remarks made by Robert Vadra and others. They are providing Pakistan with the opportunity to deny its involvement in the Kashmir terror attack. They even suggest there are countless reasons to chant 'Pakistan Zindabad'. Shouldn't they feel a sense of shame? Do they possess even a hint of patriotism?" questioned Union Minister Joshi.

"A Congress leader had shared a 'Gayab' poster on social media regarding the Pahalgam attack, thus becoming a celebrated figure in Pakistan. However, the tweet was later deleted. If you were so sincere, why delete it? Isn't this treason?" Joshi inquired.

Addressing the Pahalgam attack, the Union Minister criticized the security lapses and lack of intelligence.

"Did you have intelligence that five or six women would protest in Belagavi against the 'Gayab' poster controversy? Were you devoid of intelligence during the Mumbai attacks under the UPA regime?" he remarked, responding to the Congress-led state government.

"In a democracy, protests and counter-protests are prevalent. As public figures, we must be prepared for such circumstances," he added, chiding Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.

He remarked that CM Siddaramaiah seems to have forgotten historical context.

"He once waved black flags against former PM Indira Gandhi. Now, he has become Chief Minister in her party. Look at how far you've come," he said.

Furthermore, he accused Siddaramaiah of losing composure due to internal disputes with Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar.

"That frustration is causing him to lash out at officials wherever he goes. He has surpassed the limits of arrogance and even threatens journalists," the Union Minister stated.

Following the Pahalgam terror attack, the Central government instructed the deportation of Pakistani nationals residing in India.

"All other states are sending back these (Pakistani nationals) to their homeland. How many individuals have you repatriated from Karnataka? Provide us with an answer. Stop making irresponsible statements," Joshi demanded.

"Terrorists, wherever they may be, will be tracked down and eliminated," emphasized the Union Minister.

"Even Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah have made this clear. Our government is dedicated to this cause. We will not tolerate terrorists or their supporters. We will pursue them relentlessly and strike back," he warned.

He stated, "Terrorist activities are not at the same level as during the UPA regime. Nationwide, including Jammu and Kashmir, terrorism has been reduced by 80 percent. When the Mumbai attack occurred, veteran BJP leader L.K. Advani expressed full support for any action by the Central government and urged for decisive action. He remained true to those words. However, today, the Congress speaks inconsistently. This is regrettable for the nation."

He accused CM Siddaramaiah's supporters of irresponsibly making naive comments, pretending to be defense experts.

"Regardless of the government in power, justifying terrorism is never acceptable. Chanting 'Pakistan Zindabad' and portraying themselves as supporters of Pakistan constitutes treason," he asserted.

Union Minister Joshi remarked, "Pakistan-backed terrorists orchestrated the Pahalgam attack to undermine development and tourism in Jammu and Kashmir, and to instigate unrest within the nation. However, India is not a weak nation. We have already initiated responses. The terrorists will face consequences. We are preparing to address this even on a global platform."

He added, "Naxalism is being eradicated throughout the country. Only about 10 percent of the activity remains in isolated areas. By 2026, that will also be eliminated, and India will become free from Naxalism."
