Jaipur, Oct 4 (NationPress) Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, along with several senior party officials, expressed profound grief on Saturday following the passing of Rameshwar Dudi, the former Leader of Opposition in the Rajasthan Assembly.
In a statement on X, Kharge characterized Dudi's passing as an unrecoverable loss for the Congress party.
“The news of the passing of senior Congress leader, former Leader of Opposition in the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly, and former Member of Parliament, Rameshwar Dudi ji, is tremendously heartbreaking. He was a leader deeply rooted in the grassroots, dedicating his life to the welfare of farmers and the public. My heartfelt condolences go to his family and supporters during this sorrowful time,” he stated.
Rahul Gandhi also shared his sorrow over the senior leader's demise.
“I was profoundly saddened to learn about the death of Shri Rameshwar Dudi ji. Throughout his various roles, he consistently prioritized public service and maintained a close connection with the populace. His relentless fight for the rights of farmers and the underprivileged will always be cherished. I extend my sympathies to his family and supporters,” he mentioned.
Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot labeled Dudi's passing as “deeply saddening and shocking”.
