The Cyber Police Station dismantled a cyber fraud operation that deceived farmers by exploiting the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana.

This gang primarily targeted farmers facing delays in subsidy payments due to incomplete KYC verifications.

Law enforcement apprehended two suspects—Rajkumar Das from Habibpur and Deepak Sharma from Radhanagar.

Authorities seized laptops, mobile devices, six ATM cards, and several bank passbooks from their possession.

Investigations indicated that the gang created fraudulent bank accounts to illegally withdraw funds designated for farmers.

A formal complaint lodged on February 27, 2026, prompted the registration of Cyber Police Station Case No. 20/2026.

Following technical surveillance and subsequent raids, the suspects were apprehended on March 2, 2026.

Police confirmed that two additional members of the gang had already been incarcerated, with ongoing interrogations aimed at uncovering the full extent of their fraudulent network.
