Custody of Caller Threatening VVIP Homes on Republic Day: Quick Response by Karnataka Police

Bengaluru, Jan 13 (NationPress) - In a prompt response, the Karnataka police apprehended an individual on Monday after receiving a bomb threat aimed at the homes of VVIPs in connection with the approaching Republic Day on January 26.
The situation escalated when the Bengaluru Police Commissionerate's office received a call indicating that explosions would target the residences of six VVIPs during the Republic Day celebrations.
The police reported that the threatening communication originated from an unidentified caller to the police control room situated within the Bengaluru Police Commissionerate.
The caller ominously stated intentions to execute explosions reminiscent of the notorious incident at the Rameshwaram Cafe in Bengaluru.
Given the gravity of the threat, Vidhana Soudha police promptly registered a case and initiated an investigation.
The caller alleged that four individuals were conspiring to execute a blast akin to the infamous Rameshwaram cafe incident.
To convince the police of the threat's authenticity, the caller provided detailed information, including names, contact numbers, and addresses of the purported suspects.
Sources within the police disclosed that the Bengaluru police treated the call with utmost seriousness, promptly tracking and investigating the caller before detaining them.
As the threat emerged just before the Republic Day festivities, the police acted decisively.
In light of this threat, Bengaluru Police have opted to escalate security protocols throughout the state, particularly in Bengaluru city.
