The draft roll, which was published on August 1, is currently being reviewed through claims made by political parties, electors, and Booth Level Agents (BLAs). According to the Commission's daily bulletin for this period, a total of 1,60,813 BLAs have been appointed by various political parties.
So far, 25 claims for inclusion and 103 objections for exclusion have been filed.
The Bharatiya Janata Party has appointed the highest number of BLAs at 53,338, followed by the RJD with 47,506, Janata Dal (United) with 36,550, and the Indian National Congress with 17,549.
On an individual level, citizens are more engaged. The Commission has recorded 33,326 inclusion claims and 2,07,565 exclusion objections, with 38,342 already resolved.
Moreover, over 15.32 lakh new electors aged 18 and older have submitted Form-6 applications, with 81,073 cases resolved within a week. The ECI emphasized that claims and objections must be filed by September 1, 2025, along with proper documentation such as Aadhaar.
Eligible electors who are missing from the draft may apply via Form 6, while objections to ineligible names should be filed using Form 7.
Recognized political parties' BLAs are also authorized to submit these on behalf of voters with the required declarations.
The SIR, which commenced on June 24, 2025, aims to maintain accuracy and integrity in electoral rolls. The Commission highlighted, “Pure electoral rolls strengthen democracy,” emphasizing that rolls are prepared strictly according to the law.
Final electoral rolls, after handling all claims and objections, will be publicly accessible and available on the CEO Bihar website.
