New Delhi, Dec 1 (NationPress) As the Border Security Force (BSF) commemorates its 61st Raising Day, Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge expressed his deepest respects and profound appreciation for the courageous women and men of the force. He remarked that their valor continues to motivate future generations and hoped that the Tricolour always flies high in recognition of their service.

Mallikarjun Kharge shared his thoughts on social media platform 'X', stating, "The Border Security Force serves as the nation’s unwavering first line of defense - a vigilant shield at our borders. On the occasion of 61 years of outstanding service, we extend our deepest respects and profound appreciation to the brave women and men of the BSF. Their dedication embodies the highest principles of patriotism: selflessness, discipline, and an unyielding commitment to India’s unity and security."

“We pay homage to their indomitable spirit and are eternally grateful for their sacrifices and dedication. May their courage continue to inspire generations, and may the Tricolour always soar high," he added.

Earlier in the day, Union Home Minister Amit Shah extended his best wishes to BSF personnel and their families on this significant day and paid tribute to the heroes who laid down their lives in service.

The BSF, a central armed police force under the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), marks its Raising Day annually on December 1. This date signifies the establishment of the inaugural sector of the Punjab Frontier of the BSF, which commenced on December 1, 1965, with its headquarters in Jalandhar.

In his message on X, HM Shah stated, "Warm regards to BSF personnel and their families on their Raising Day. A force synonymous with fiery patriotism, the BSF has consistently upheld the honor of the nation and protected the well-being of citizens with unwavering resolve and courageous spirit."

"The enduring flame of patriotism they have kept alive through their ultimate sacrifice will continue to guide generations of Indians. Salutations to the bravehearts who made the utmost sacrifice on duty," he added.

Jammu and Kashmir Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha conveyed his greetings, saying, "On BSF Raising Day, I extend my best wishes to all officers, jawans, veterans, and their families. The BSF, India’s primary line of defense, has exhibited remarkable courage, dedication, and steadfast commitment to secure our borders. The nation honors its professionalism, discipline, and sacrifice."

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also took to X, asserting, "Always vigilant in defending the nation's borders, the Border Security Force (BSF), the guardian of our motherland's integrity and honor, conveys its heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to all its brave soldiers and their families on this BSF Raising Day."

This year, the BSF is celebrating its 61st Raising Day. Sending their wishes to personnel and their families, the force stated, "On the 61st BSF Day, the Seema Prahari reaffirms their steadfast commitment to securing Bharat’s borders and enhancing the nation-building mission."

"With unwavering courage and relentless dedication, the Border Security Force stands resolute against all challenges along the western and eastern frontiers as the Nation's first line of defense," it concluded.

The Indian Army, Indian Air Force, Shashastra Seema Bal (SSB), National Security Guard (NSG), and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) also extended their greetings to BSF personnel, veterans, and their families on this 61st Raising Day.
