The Director General of Police (DGP) from Jammu and Kashmir, Nalin Prabhat, will participate virtually.
On Monday night, HM Shah visited the site of the car explosion close to the Red Fort, meeting with the injured at Lok Nayak Jaiprakash Hospital and committing to a thorough investigation into the blast, which resulted in eight fatalities and over a dozen injuries.
By 9:45 p.m., HM Shah arrived at the explosion site near Gate No. 1 of Lal Qila Metro Station, where he examined the wreckage, now a twisted metal shell surrounded by forensic markers.
He engaged with Delhi Police Commissioner Satish Golcha and NIA officials on-site, then proceeded to LNJP Hospital, spending nearly 30 minutes with the victims, including a 12-year-old boy suffering from burn injuries and a taxi driver whose vehicle was engulfed in flames.
Earlier that morning, the J&K Police dismantled an inter-state transnational terror network connected to Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind, leading to the seizure of 2,900 kg of explosives, two assault rifles, pistols, timers, and other materials in the Faridabad region of Haryana, near New Delhi. Authorities have reported the arrest of seven individuals so far.
In response to the incident, security measures have been intensified throughout Delhi-NCR, with NSG commandos stationed at vital installations.
HM Shah instructed the NIA, IB, and Delhi Police Special Cell to collaborate effectively, declaring, 'No stone will be left unturned.'
High alerts have been issued across Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Mumbai, with increased security around crowded public areas and religious sites.
