New Delhi, May 18 (NationPress) Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Sunday commended the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) for its significant contributions to nation building, describing the organization as a dynamic institution of culture.

While speaking at the National Harmony Conference, held to commemorate the centenary of the RSS under the auspices of Samajik Chetana Manch managed by Bhagwan Parshuram Seva Sansthan, she emphasized that such gatherings inject new vitality into social cohesion, harmony, and cultural confidence.

“The Sangh transcends being just an organization; it stands as a dynamic institution of culture, service, and nation building, where the journey of nation building initiates with character development,” she remarked in a post on the social media platform X.

“Today, I had the privilege of attending the National Harmony Conference… This event fostered crucial discussions on enhancing unity, dialogue, and harmony among various segments of society,” she added.

Earlier, endorsing the nation first policy, the Chief Minister applauded the decision of city merchants to boycott products and institutions from Turkey and Azerbaijan due to their support for Pakistan during Operation Sindoor.

During her visit to the Azadpur Mandi in north Delhi, Chief Minister Gupta stated, “I commend the traders for their boycott. If any nation acts against Bharat’s interests, Indian citizens will respond accordingly.”

“This decision epitomizes the traders’ patriotism,” she remarked.

Backing the public outcry against nations supporting terrorism in India, she stated, “There will be no vyapar, varta, or sambandh (trade, communication, or relations) with countries that harbor terrorism.”

The Chief Minister also welcomed the announcements made by Jawaharlal Nehru University and Jamia Millia Islamia to terminate their agreements with Turkish educational institutions.

“There must be a complete boycott of nations supporting terrorism within our borders,” she asserted.
