Bettiah, Nov 8 (NationPress) The President of Bihar BJP, Sanjay Jaiswal, expressed confidence that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will exceed its remarkable performance from the 2010 Assembly elections in the upcoming polls.
In an interview with IANS, Jaiswal remarked, “I have journeyed from Aurangabad to Saharsa to Champaran, and the enthusiasm I am observing now is reminiscent of the NDA’s fervor in 2010.”
He stated, “The initiatives launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the underprivileged have significantly changed lives. The public has already decided to grant the NDA a monumental victory. This year, we will shatter the 2010 record. The slogan for 2025 — ‘Is Baar Narendra Modi Aur Nitish’ — will indeed come to fruition.”
“This year, we aim to make history by winning every seat,” he asserted.
In 2010, propelled by a strong momentum fueled by developmental promises, Nitish Kumar guided the JD(U)-BJP alliance to a landslide victory, securing nearly four-fifths of the seats in the Bihar Assembly elections. The alliance decisively triumphed over Lalu Prasad Yadav’s RJD-LJP coalition and a diminished Congress, returning to power for a consecutive second term. The magnitude of the victory was demonstrated in the figures as the ruling alliance soared from 143 seats in 2005 to an impressive 206 seats in the 243-member assembly, largely attributed to Nitish Kumar’s effective governance.
In response to comments from Jan Suraaj Party founder Prashant Kishor, who suggested that the high voter turnout indicates a demand for change, Jaiswal countered, “Prashant Kishor’s predicament is such that even if they manage to garner 5,000 votes, it would be considered a success for them. He is neither contesting the election nor are their national or state leaders. When a party's top figures do not run and their candidates can only secure 2,000 to 3,000 votes, blaming others is pointless.”
Jaiswal also commented on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s renewed emphasis on youth, particularly Gen Z voters.
“The entire Gen Z cohort stands with PM Modi. The future of our nation relies on Gen Z. Rahul Gandhi can say whatever he likes, but no one believes him except for his mother,” he told IANS.
On November 5, Rahul Gandhi, Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, held a press conference in New Delhi, reiterating his focus on young voters. He addressed alleged electoral irregularities, stating, “I want Gen Z to take this seriously because your future is at stake. You are the ones being robbed.”
The presentation concluded with a powerful message: “India’s Gen Z and youth possess the capability to restore our democracy with satya (truth) and ahimsa (non-violence).”
Through his ongoing campaign, LoP Gandhi has aimed to connect with the broader youth electorate by highlighting issues of unemployment, corruption, and inequality — a high-stakes initiative he deems essential to “protect the Constitution.”
