New Delhi, Nov 1 (NationPress) With just five days remaining until the Bihar Assembly elections, the BJP asserted on Saturday that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is poised to receive a substantial mandate from the state's populace.

BJP MP Praveen Khandelwal remarked to IANS, “With Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar at the helm, Bihar has experienced significant advancements in infrastructure, technology, and housing for the underprivileged over the last two to three years. In the forthcoming Assembly elections, the NDA will earn a resounding mandate. The opposition is witnessing the failure of their strategies, leaving them anxious, frustrated, and reliant on external support.”

Bihar MLA Jaydrath Prasad noted, “The people of Bihar have already decided. This time, under the motto ‘Modi government: Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas,’ the populace will once again grant a decisive majority to establish the Modi government.”

JDU candidate Sudhanshu Shekhar added, “The accomplishments of the NDA government over the last 20 years are commendable. We are engaging with the electorate based on this track record of development, and we are confident that the NDA will regain power. In 2025, Nitish Kumar will lead Bihar once more. The progress made in the past two decades is significant, and any unfinished work will be addressed in the upcoming term.”

Nevertheless, opposition leaders sharply criticized the ruling coalition.

Samajwadi Party spokesperson Fakhrul Hasan Chand stated, “Bihar’s double-engine government has let the public down. It has failed the youth, who continue to struggle with unemployment. The government that vowed to double farmers’ incomes has instead deceived them. Atrocities against farmers, youth, backward classes, Dalits, and minorities persist, while bridges collapse statewide. What has Nitish Kumar’s double-engine government delivered? It has merely discouraged the populace. Hence, Bihar is now in search of change and a robust new government.”

Samajwadi Party MP Rajiv Rai also criticized the NDA, asserting, “The citizens of Bihar have been yearning for genuine change. Those who promised good governance have left Bihar among the most impoverished states. Migration is ongoing, and crime remains rampant. It is time to welcome a new, dynamic leader who has demonstrated his capabilities in just 17 months. I am confident that after November 14, this leader will assume the role of Chief Minister of Bihar.”

The Bihar Assembly elections are scheduled to occur in two phases, on November 6 and 11, with vote counting on November 14. The Election Commission has disclosed the timetable for the 243-member Assembly, and the Model Code of Conduct is now in effect throughout the state. Voting will encompass 121 constituencies in the first phase and 122 in the second.

Point of View
