Patna, Nov 14 (NationPress) The Bihar BJP President, Dilip Jaiswal, asserted on Friday that the ruling NDA is poised to establish a government in the state with a significant majority, emphasizing that the populace has confidence in Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
The vote counting for all 243 constituencies in the Bihar Assembly election is currently in progress, backed by extensive, multi-layered security measures.
In an interview with IANS, Jaiswal noted, 'The first and second phases of the elections clearly reflected the sentiments of the citizens and their supporters, indicating their readiness to see the NDA government return. The public mandate suggests a robust trend favoring the formation of the NDA government in Bihar with a significant majority.
'The public trusts the NDA. Citizens have faith in PM Modi's assurances and CM Nitish Kumar's initiatives for the state's development. Issues like women's empowerment, job creation, and overall progress are pivotal in this election. The NDA is certain to reclaim power,' he stated.
The counting commenced at 8 a.m. with postal ballot processing, followed by the counting of votes from Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) starting at 8:30 a.m. Candidates and their representatives were allowed to supervise the security outside the inner area.
