Patna, Oct 6 (NationPress) In light of the Election Commission of India's announcement regarding the timetable for the upcoming 2025 Bihar Assembly Elections, leaders representing the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) have expressed their support for the decision and have shown optimism that the alliance will once again secure a commanding majority to form the next government.
JD-U Working President Sanjay Kumar Jha conveyed that the party wholeheartedly supports the Election Commission's plan to conduct the elections in two phases.
“This Assembly election is critically important as it will not only determine the government for the next five years but will also shape the trajectory of Bihar's development for the next 25 years,” Jha stated.
Detailing the JD-U's vision for development, he emphasized that in this election, the people of Bihar will cast their votes to establish industries in every district, fulfill the self-employment aspirations of over 2 crore mothers and sisters, provide jobs or employment to more than 1 crore youth, and ensure the continuation of 125 units of free electricity to nearly 2 crore consumers.
He also mentioned that expressways and highways valued at Rs 1.84 lakh crore are currently being constructed throughout Bihar.
“The citizens will vote to guarantee the completion of these projects in the next five years, allowing anyone to reach Patna from any corner of the state in just three and a half hours,” he remarked.
Jha noted that during his travels across Bihar, he has sensed a strong public sentiment favoring the NDA.
“People desire the continuation of the double-engine government with a significant majority under Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. I am confident that Bihar will rank among the top ten developed states in the country within the next five years,” he added.
He asserted that this election will demonstrate that Bihar's rapid development cannot be halted by lies, deceit, or attempts to mislead the populace.
Santosh Kumar, National President of the Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) and an ally of the NDA, also welcomed the announcement and forecasted a sweeping victory for the alliance.
“The NDA will enter the fray with full force, and this time, the people of Bihar will grant the NDA a landslide victory once again,” he asserted.
Emphasizing the government's successes, Kumar remarked, “Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Bihar has witnessed unparalleled advancements in roads, electricity, education, health, and employment. The public trusts the NDA's initiatives and will reject the opposition's false promises.”
He claimed that the Grand Alliance will be entirely displaced, and the NDA will secure at least 200 seats.
“The populace will vote for development and stability. Under PM Modi’s guidance, Bihar has transcended the jungle raj and embraced effective governance. This time, the electorate will opt for the politics of development and once again send a strong message against jungle raj,” Kumar concluded.
The voting in Bihar is scheduled to occur in two phases — on November 6 and November 11 — with counting set for November 14.
