In response, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai expressed that the election schedule is favorable and voiced his confidence that the people of Bihar will decisively eliminate the opposition this time around.
“From 1990 to 2005, Bihar underwent a period of jungle raj, characterized by rampant booth looting. However, things have significantly improved since 2005,” he remarked.
Rai emphasized that this election will serve as a precedent for the nation, given the Election Commission’s efforts to ensure a transparent and peaceful polling process.
Bihar's Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha asserted his belief that the NDA will once again take the reins of the government in the forthcoming Bihar Assembly elections.
He welcomed the Election Commission’s announcement of the polling dates, stating, “The swift progress of development in Bihar will persist. The NDA government will return on November 14. This election represents not merely a voting opportunity but the grandest festival of democracy, where citizens determine the trajectory of their state’s development, governance, and self-sufficiency.”
Sinha highlighted the current government's accomplishments, stating, “Guided by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Bihar has made significant strides in development, transparency, and governance. Improvements in electricity, infrastructure, education, healthcare, and employment across rural areas underscore the NDA’s dedication.”
He conveyed that the upcoming election is a decision between a prosperous Bihar and a descent back into disorder, expressing confidence that the people will grant the NDA a substantial victory favoring growth and stability.
BJP State President Dilip Jaiswal also endorsed the two-phase election schedule, emphasizing that voters will prioritize development and re-elect the NDA under Nitish Kumar’s leadership.
