Patna, Nov 11 (NationPress) As the second phase of voting in Bihar commences, political figures from the ruling NDA are urging the electorate to recognize the significance of their votes in determining the state's trajectory. BJP MP Sanjay Jaiswal made a heartfelt plea for active participation in the electoral process. “I genuinely urge everyone that voting is the greatest gift one can offer. The destiny of Bihar hinges on this. Ongoing welfare initiatives must persist; every individual should have access to free rations, healthcare, and electricity. For this to happen, it is crucial for everyone to cast their votes,” he stated.
The JD(U) leaders also noted the public's enthusiasm and their backing for Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. The party's National Spokesperson, Rajiv Ranjan, remarked, “Voters are lining up, patiently awaiting their turn. The mandate appears to be once again favoring Bihar’s Chief Minister, Nitish Kumar, for the upcoming government.”
In agreement, JD(U) Chief Spokesperson Neeraj Kumar reflected, “From my political experience, there was a time when even men hesitated to reveal their voting choices. However, during this electoral campaign, I have witnessed women confidently stating their intention to vote for development. The developmental initiatives are attributed to Nitish Kumar, and his support base has grown.”
He continued, “The public sentiment from the first phase evidently favors the development-centric leadership of Nitish Kumar. Under his guidance, it’s only natural that our social base will further expand in the second phase.”
The second phase of voting in Bihar spans across 122 constituencies across 20 districts, with polling scheduled from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Authorities have established 45,399 polling stations to ensure a seamless voting experience and maintain security at sensitive locations.
Approximately 3.7 crore voters, including 1.95 crore men and 1.74 crore women, are eligible to participate in this phase, which is anticipated to be pivotal in shaping the next Bihar government.
With enhanced security measures, personnel deployment, and rigorous monitoring of vulnerable polling booths, officials are dedicated to ensuring a peaceful and transparent electoral process, marking a vital moment in Bihar’s political scene.
The counting of votes for all 243 Assembly constituencies is set for November 14, when the results will disclose the state’s next government.
