Bengaluru, Nov 8 (NationPress) Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah claimed on Saturday that since the BJP assumed power at the national level, the integrity of constitutional bodies in the nation has been compromised, with institutions like the Election Commission and CBI coming under the influence of the federal government.

During a joint press briefing with Deputy Chief Minister and State President D.K. Shivakumar at the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) office, the Chief Minister unveiled documents and proof concerning alleged organized voter fraud occurring in Karnataka.

“The BJP excels not only in falsehoods but also in electoral deceit. We will not stand for this. We are committed to fighting for democracy and defending constitutional values,” Siddaramaiah asserted.

He further accused the BJP of attaining power in multiple Assembly and Lok Sabha elections through voter manipulation.

“Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, after thorough research and investigation, has revealed substantial evidence of extensive voter fraud to the public,” the Chief Minister remarked.

Labeling these actions as unconstitutional and treacherous to democracy, Siddaramaiah stated, “Rahul Gandhi has presented clear, documented proof of voter fraud occurring in the Bengaluru Central Lok Sabha constituency. However, the Election Commission has neither responded to our inquiries nor addressed the issues raised before the Indian populace.”

The Chief Minister recalled that Dr. B.R. Ambedkar ensured the autonomy of the Election Commission within the Constitution. “Dr. Ambedkar stressed that no ruling authority should meddle in the electoral process. To guarantee free and fair elections, our Constitution established an independent electoral framework. It is the duty of all political entities to uphold this principle if we wish to preserve constitutional values,” he said.

Siddaramaiah also mentioned that the Congress Party has gathered over one crore signatures advocating for the protection of democracy and the Constitution. “These signatures will be presented to the Election Commission and the President of India,” he added.

The press conference was attended by KPCC President and Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar, senior Congress leader and Minister Satish Jarkiholi, party working presidents G.C. Chandrasekhar and Saleem Ahmed, and State Youth Congress President Manjunath, among others.
