New Delhi, Oct 24 (NationPress) Delhi's Chief Minister Rekha Gupta conducted an inspection on Friday at various ghats being readied for the Chhath festival, where she also took part in painting a water tank designated for devotees in Dwarka, located in southwest Delhi.

Later, she shared a message on X, stating, “With utmost enthusiasm and devotion, preparations for the significant festival of faith, Chhath, are in progress throughout Delhi. Today, I visited the Chhath site under construction in Dwarka Sector 23-B and worked alongside local residents through voluntary efforts.”

“It was truly uplifting to witness the enthusiasm and faith among the people, as they felt the government's support during their festival. On this occasion, MLA Sandeep Sehrawat and other local dignitaries joined us,” she expressed on X.

Throughout the day, the Chief Minister inaugurated various development initiatives and officially opened the newly constructed Chhath Ghat, dedicating it to the community in the Laxmi Nagar Assembly.

“This ghat serves not only as a representation of our Purvanchali community's faith but will also stand as a testament to Delhi's cultural heritage and community involvement. The preparations for the Chhath Mahaparv, executed with dedication and sensitivity under the BJP government's leadership, are remarkable,” she stated on X.

“This time, when our sisters pray to the Sun God along the banks of the Yamuna, they will do so in clean and pure waters. This new ghat symbolizes the fusion of faith and progress in Delhi. On this occasion, MLA Abhay Verma and local dignitaries were present,” she added.

Earlier that day, CM Gupta celebrated the Bhai Dooj festival with the soldiers of the Border Security Force (BSF).

“Today, we celebrated Bhai Dooj with the courageous BSF personnel. Since these guardians serve far from their families, it is our duty to support them like family and address their needs,” she shared on X.

With this spirit, she laid the foundation stone for a water pipeline at BSF Camp, Chhawla. “During my visit for the tree plantation initiative on August 11, I promised to resolve the long-standing water issue. Today, I am fulfilling that promise. This exemplifies our government’s approach—from commitment to action, and from service to solutions,” she concluded.
