New Delhi, July 18 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Delhi, Rekha Gupta, emphasized on Friday the importance of viewing tree plantation as a collective duty and encouraged residents to engage wholeheartedly in the government's green initiative with enthusiasm and pride.
During the tree plantation event titled ‘Van Mahotsav 2025’ at Willingdon Crescent, Rashtrapati Bhavan, she called on the citizens to actively participate in the movement by planting more trees in their homes, localities, educational institutions, workplaces, and communal areas.
Moreover, she announced that as part of Van Mahotsav 2025, the Delhi government has set an ambitious goal of planting over 70 lakh saplings this year.
Embracing the initiative of 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam', launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, CM Gupta, alongside distinguished guests, participated in planting saplings.
