New Delhi, Jan 24 (NationPress) On Saturday, Delhi's Lieutenant Governor (L-G) V.K. Saxena and his spouse Sangita Saxena hosted the customary 'At Home' event at Lok Niwas in anticipation of the 77th Republic Day.
According to an official statement, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta graced the occasion alongside a diverse array of guests.
This gathering serves as a traditional meet-and-greet aimed at promoting unity, celebrating national and statehood days, while recognizing contributions across various sectors in the national capital.
Guests included freedom fighters, Padma awardees from Delhi, students from both government and private institutions, families of Delhi Police and Fire Service martyrs, academicians, sportspersons, paralympians, Swachhagrahis, Divyangjan, esteemed doctors, artists, performers, and religious leaders from multiple faiths.
Delhi Ministers Ashish Sood and Manjinder Singh Sirsa, along with the Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Mohan Singh Bisht, judges from the Delhi High Court, Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan, Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh, representatives from foreign missions, Vice-Chancellors, doctors, lawyers, civil society members, media personnel, and various government officials attended the event.
Earlier on that day, CM Gupta participated in a program organized by the Flag Foundation of India.
During this event, she congratulated the Indian women's visually impaired cricket team for their remarkable achievement of clinching the T20 World Cup and extended her best wishes to them.
On this occasion, she also engaged with Member of Parliament Naveen Jindal.
