New Delhi/Ahmedabad, Jan 24 (NationPress) The Congress party has revealed fresh appointments for two major departments within the Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee, marking a significant step in their organizational restructuring. These appointments have received immediate approval from Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge.
Mahesh Rajput has taken on the role of Chairperson for the OBC Department, while Rajendrakumar Parghi has been appointed as the Chairperson of the Adivasi Congress in Gujarat.
Rajput boasts a long history with the Congress, having been part of the organization for numerous decades. Currently, he serves as the Working President of the OBC Department, a role he has occupied since February 2024, in addition to his position as General Secretary of the GPCC.
His extensive experience includes various organizational responsibilities, such as observer duties and overseeing the Gir Somnath District Congress Committee since 2021.
He previously held the title of President for the Rajkot District and City Congress Committee from 2018 to 2019 and was the Working President of that unit from 2017 to 2018.
