New Delhi, Oct 16 (NationPress) The Operations Cell of the South West District of Delhi Police has successfully located and apprehended two illegal African migrants who have been living in India without proper documentation for more than ten years, officials announced on Thursday.
The individuals have been identified as Emmanuel Kido Obuh (35) and Harrison Umunna (43), both hailing from Akumazi Umuocha, Delta State, Nigeria.
As per police reports, a new deportation process has been set in motion against the two, in collaboration with the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) in Delhi, following the completion of all necessary legal procedures.
Officials mentioned that, to combat crime and identify foreigners residing illegally in the area, the Operations Cell teams were instructed to gather intelligence and take decisive action against such individuals.
A specialized team led by Inspector Gajender Singh, who heads the Anti-Narcotics Cell, and overseen by ACP (Operations) Vijaypal Tomar, was assigned to locate and confirm the status of illegal migrants, particularly in sensitive regions.
