During his one-day trip to the state, the Prime Minister had darshan at the Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy Varla Devasthanam, recognized as one of the 12 Jyotirlings and among the 52 Shakti Peeths.

Upon his arrival at Srisailam, the Prime Minister was met with stringent security measures and was joined by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan.

Temple officials and priests greeted them at the temple's main entrance, engaging in various rituals throughout their visit.

The priests elaborated on the distinctive characteristics of the temple, famous for housing a Jyotirlinga and a Shakti Peeth within the same premises.

This was PM Modi's inaugural visit to the temple, marking him as the fourth Prime Minister to pay homage here, following Jawaharlal Nehru, Indira Gandhi, and P. V. Narasimha Rao.

Additionally, PM Modi is set to visit the Sree Shivaji Spoorthi Kendra, a memorial complex featuring a Dhyana Mandir (Meditation Hall) that showcases models of four iconic forts: Pratapgad, Rajgad, Raigad, and Shivneri, positioned at each corner.

At the center of the Spoorthi Kendra stands a statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in profound meditation. This Kendra is managed by the Sree Shivaji Memorial Committee, which was formed in Srisailam to honor the historic visit of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj to this sacred site in 1677.

Earlier, upon landing at Kurnool airport, PM Modi was received by Governor S. Abdul Nazeer, Chief Minister Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Kalyan, and HRD Minister Nara Lokesh.

After arriving in Kurnool, the Prime Minister traveled to Sundipenta Helipad and then proceeded by road to the Bramarambha Mallikarjuna Swamy temple.

From there, the Prime Minister will return to Sundipenta Helipad and then fly to Kurnool Helipad.
