New Delhi, July 24 (NationPress) Fourteen exceptional students from government schools in Delhi were honored on Thursday as Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and Minister Ashish Sood shared insights with them, preparing them for their upcoming vocational training in Germany.
During a special recognition event held at the Delhi Secretariat, CM Gupta and Education Minister Sood commended the students who, despite facing resource challenges, have pursued their ambitions with diligence and outstanding performance.
The selected 14 students from Delhi Government schools will embark on a journey to Germany as part of the APAL (Ausbildung Programm für Auszubildende in Deutschland) Project 2025, designed for vocational education and training.
The initiative, spearheaded by Germany's Federal Employment Agency (BA), aims to foster training partnerships with regions including Latin America, India, and Uzbekistan.
CM Gupta emphasized that the Delhi government is dedicated to providing every child with top-tier education, skill enhancement, and global opportunities, irrespective of their socio-economic status.
She remarked, “The selection of these students exemplifies our commitment. This journey represents not just their aspirations but also a step towards a new India—where dreams are limitless.”
Minister Sood also elaborated on the opportunity these 14 students have to engage in dual vocational training in Germany, a country renowned for its educational excellence.
He mentioned an established exchange program between the Delhi and German governments, aimed at enhancing both skills and employability.
These students will spend between 3 to 3.5 years in Germany, receiving training and education that will lead to secure placements.
Sood noted that as Delhi’s outstanding students become inspired in education, numerous new opportunities for technical training and education will emerge globally.
He acknowledged that initiatives like Skill India, launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, have significantly elevated the nation's standing on the international stage.
“With the guidance of the Government of India, the Delhi government has made considerable advancements in skilling and employability, ensuring that children from Delhi receive quality skill-based education and become job-ready,” he stated.
