New Delhi, Aug 18 (NationPress) Following extensive evaluations, brainstorming sessions, and solution presentations, 40 teams from 13 colleges in Delhi have been selected for the Grand Finale of the Rekha Gupta government's Industrial Ideathon 2025, set for August 22.
According to Industries Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa, this initiative aims to bridge the gap between students and real-world industrial policy challenges, ensuring that Delhi's industrial landscape reaps the benefits of innovative ideas, advanced solutions, and the enthusiasm of youth.
“The enthusiastic participation in the Industrial Ideathon underscores our youth's readiness to engage in policymaking and provide tangible business solutions,” he stated.
The finalists, hailing from institutions like NSUT, IGDTUW, SSCBS, and GGSIPU, have showcased how students in Delhi are propelling innovation across various sectors including logistics, business facilitation, tech integration, and MSME sustainability.
The shortlisted finalists embody a broad spectrum of innovations. Some teams are creating AI-powered logistics and supply chain solutions, while others are developing business facilitation strategies for startups and entrepreneurs. Many are harnessing cutting-edge technologies such as automation, robotics, and Industry 4.0, along with models to enhance MSME access to finance and markets. Netaji Subhas University of Technology (NSUT) leads the pack with 10 finalist teams, followed by Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW) with 6 teams. Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies (SSCBS) and Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) also made notable contributions with 5 teams each.
Additional participating institutions include Bhagwan Parshuram Institute of Technology (BPIT), Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology (MAIT), Kasturi Ram College of Higher Education, Guru Tegh Bahadur 4th Centenary Engineering College, Kirorimal College (Delhi University), Guru Tegh Bahadur Institute of Technology (GTBIT), Dr B.R. Ambedkar University Delhi, Delhi Technological University (DTU), and Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU).
