New Delhi, Oct 3 (NationPress) The newly appointed Chief Secretary of Delhi, Rajeev Verma, met with Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Friday to discuss important matters concerning the BJP government's key objectives and the delivery of public services, as reported by an official source.

The Chief Minister's Office shared on X, "Today, Rajeev Verma, Delhi's new Chief Secretary, had a meeting with Chief Minister Rekha Gupta."

Rajeev Verma, an IAS officer from the 1992 batch belonging to the Arunachal Pradesh, Goa, Mizoram, and Union Territories (AGMUT) cadre, takes over the role from Dharmendra, a 1989-batch officer who retired on September 30.

Throughout his career, Verma has held several significant positions, including Advisor to the Administrator of Chandigarh (2022–2025), Chief Secretary of Puducherry, Principal Secretary and Commissioner of Finance/Revenue in Delhi (2018–2022), Principal Commissioner for Housing and Urban Affairs at DDA (2017–2018), Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Defence (2013–2017), CMD of Delhi Transport Corporation (2012–2013), and various roles in Goa and Delhi NCR from 2000 to 2011.
