Providing insights on the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) in Bihar, the official noted, “As of 6 p.m. on Monday, a total of 2.87 crore enumeration forms -- which is 36.47 percent of the overall 7,89,69,844 (approximately 7.90 crore) electors registered as of June 24, 2025 -- have been received.”
The SIR is being conducted in the state following the Election Commission's directive dated June 24.
According to instructions, the electoral rolls that will be launched on August 1, 2025 will exclusively list those individuals whose enumeration forms have been processed, the official clarified.

Simultaneously, the uploading of forms is ongoing, with 11.26 percent of the nearly 7.90 crore electors uploaded by 6 p.m. on Monday.
Partially completed forms are available for download on the ECI portal (https://voters.eci.gov.in) and through the ECINET App, where voters can also upload the completed forms themselves.
The official from the ECI mentioned that 77,895 Booth Level Officers are actively visiting homes to assist voters in filling out their enumeration forms and collecting them. Additionally, 20,603 BLOs have been appointed to ensure the process runs smoothly and on time.
Close to four lakh volunteers, including government officials, NCC cadets, and NSS members, are on the ground assisting the elderly, persons with disabilities, the sick, and vulnerable populations in the SIR process, the statement elaborated.
