Bhopal, Jan 29 (NationPress) The Enforcement Directorate (ED) carried out operations across various sites in Madhya Pradesh on Wednesday concerning a private enterprise accused of manufacturing and distributing adulterated milk products both locally and internationally using forged laboratory certificates.
This action against Jayshri Gayatri Food Products Pvt Ltd and its director is part of a broader initiative targeting alleged food adulteration and fraudulent trading practices.
Raids have been executed at as many as nine locations, including Bhopal, Sehore, and Morena since early Wednesday.
The establishments subject to investigation are reportedly linked to Kishan Modi, Rajendra Prasad Modi, and others, who are directors of Jayshri Gayatri Food Products Pvt Ltd, according to official sources.
During the investigation, officials have discovered 63 falsified lab reports that were purportedly utilized to export substandard milk products to various nations, such as Bahrain, Hong Kong, Singapore, Oman, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
"It has been revealed that forged lab certificates facilitated the export of adulterated milk products to countries including Bahrain, Hong Kong, Singapore, Oman, Qatar, and UAE. The searches are ongoing," an official informed the media in Morena.
According to reports, Jayshri Gayatri Food Products Pvt Ltd, founded in 2013 in Bhopal, is a leading manufacturer and exporter of dairy goods under the brand name 'Milk Magic'.
In addition to packed milk, the company produces diverse items such as ghee, khoya, white butter, and margarine. It has carved a notable presence in both local and global markets, being recognized for delivering high-quality dairy products to a wide consumer base.
Authorities are scrutinizing financial records and other documents to assess the extent of the alleged infractions.
