Bhopal, June 5 (NationPress) The Madhya Pradesh Waqf Board has released a detailed advisory in preparation for Eid al-Adha, highlighting the necessity of upholding cleanliness and complying with regulations during the sacrificial rites. The advisory lays out crucial guidelines to ensure the festival is celebrated with dignity and order.

Muslims engaging in Qurbani are encouraged to perform the ritual exclusively in designated locations, steering clear of roadsides and public areas. The board has also explicitly banned the recording or dissemination of videos and images of the sacrifice on social media platforms.

Furthermore, it advocates for sharing a portion of the sacrificed animal with the less fortunate, emphasizing the essence of generosity and community support.

The advisory also requests prayers for the well-being of families and the soldiers safeguarding the nation’s borders. It underscores the need for adherence to legal and administrative guidelines.

Eid prayers should be conducted within mosques or Idgahs, and not on public roadways without prior authorization from local authorities, stated the Waqf Board.

The site designated for Qurbani ought to be enclosed with walls or tin structures, and essential sanitation measures, such as spraying disinfectants, should be performed.

The remains of sacrificed animals must be disposed of properly in designated municipal bins or specified areas to ensure cleanliness, the board further advised.

The advisory firmly prohibits the sacrifice of animals that are banned under government regulations. It also reiterates the significance of avoiding the online sharing of any media content related to the sacrifice.

If more space is needed for Eid prayers, arrangements should be coordinated with local authorities to prevent unnecessary congestion on streets.

Madhya Pradesh is home to around 15,000 Waqf properties, encompassing mosques, graveyards, dargahs, Eidgahs, Karbala sites, and madrasa schools.

The Waqf Board has urged all district collectors and magistrates to guarantee strict adherence to the advisory, ensuring that the festival is a peaceful and well-organized affair.

Eid al-Adha, often referred to as the 'Festival of Sacrifice', is celebrated on the 10th day of Dhu al-Hijjah, the last month of the Islamic calendar. It ranks as the second significant Islamic festival of the year, following Eid al-Fitr, which celebrates the conclusion of Ramadan.
