He instructed the administration to ensure that all initiatives involve the active participation and support of various cooperative societies.
During a meeting at Vidhan Bhavan to strategize programs for the International Year of Cooperation 2025, Chief Minister Fadnavis highlighted the importance of collaboration.
He urged departments such as Cooperatives, Agriculture, Marketing, Dairy Development, Food and Civil Supplies, Rural Development, Fisheries, and Non-Conventional Energy to work together in planning their programs.
Information regarding the activities throughout the year should be widely shared with the public. Additionally, tree plantation should be integrated into all initiatives for this notable occasion. The deadline for cooperatives to submit proposals for the Cooperative Awards 2025 has been extended from July 18 to July 31, according to him.
The Chief Minister emphasized the need for coordinated implementation of various activities from both the central and state governments during the International Year of Cooperatives.
“This program must be executed effectively to ensure that the public is aware of the advancements and contributions made by the state in enhancing the cooperative sector,” he stated.
He also mentioned that the updates on the programs should be regularly submitted to the State Level Summit Committee.
“Given the evolving challenges in the cooperative sector, it is crucial to analyze this sector and assess the Cooperative Act. A study group should be established to propose necessary amendments to the Cooperative Act, and its findings should be reported to the committee,” concluded the Chief Minister.
