Chennai, March 26 (NationPress) Edappadi K. Palaniswami (EPS), the General Secretary of AIADMK and the Leader of Opposition in Tamil Nadu, had a meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi on Tuesday, igniting fervent political speculation regarding a potential revival of the AIADMK-BJP alliance.
As the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections are more than a year away, this meeting is perceived as a tactical maneuver, particularly as the ruling DMK intensifies its campaign on contentious matters such as delimitation and the two-language policy.
The visit was confirmed earlier in the day by AIADMK spokesperson Kovai Sathyan, who, however, refrained from discussing the specifics of the agenda.
