Under the terms of the MoU, Essar Future Energy plans to construct a significant biofuel complex in the Devbhumi Dwarka district, featuring an initial feedstock processing capacity of 1 million tonnes per annum (MTPA).
This ambitious project entails a proposed financial commitment of ₹5,100 crore and is projected to create approximately 350 direct jobs, with operations slated to begin by 2029.
The initiative will be developed as a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) unit, aiming to decarbonize challenging sectors while providing clean fuel alternatives for aviation, shipping, and road transport.
The MoU signing was witnessed by esteemed leaders, including Hon’ble Cabinet Minister Rushikeshbhai Patel, Hon’ble Minister of State Kaushikbhai Vekaria, along with senior officials from the Energy & Petrochemicals Department, Government of Gujarat.
