Srinagar, Nov 12 (NationPress) The Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, emphasized on Wednesday that to achieve lasting peace, it is imperative to eradicate every element of terrorism. He noted that the active involvement of all community segments is crucial for this initiative.
“To fully restore peace, we need to eliminate every terrorist element within our society. This mission demands the collective cooperation of the public,” stated the L-G.
He encouraged filmmakers to create works that depict the experiences of terror victims, reveal the masterminds behind the terror network, and highlight the significant changes since August 2019.
“Citizens should inform the Police and Security Agencies about those threatening peace, so we can dismantle the entire terror network hiding in our midst and effectively counter the malicious designs from neighboring countries,” he commented.
He highlighted the achievements over the last five to six years, crediting the relentless efforts and sacrifices made by the J&K Police, Army, Intelligence, and Security Forces in fostering a fear-free environment in Jammu and Kashmir, thus establishing a supportive and inclusive framework for youth to pursue their aspirations.
The Lieutenant Governor also discussed the measures taken by the UT Administration to ease film production and rekindle J&K’s relationship with the film industry, urging filmmakers to balance entertainment with social responsibility.
The 4th edition of The International Film Festival of Srinagar (TIFFS) attracted over 100 film submissions from 20 nations.
