Agartala, Jan 25 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Tripura, Manik Saha, delivered a fierce critique of the Communist Party on Sunday, claiming that their extended governance in the state was characterized by murder, violence, and terrorism. He confidently stated that no force can hinder the BJP from advancing the welfare of the populace.
During a public assembly organized by the BJP at South Taibandal in the Sepahijala district, the Chief Minister emphasized the party's commitment to reach out to every household in the pursuit of serving the community.
“The Bharatiya Janata Party is set to connect with each home and prioritize the welfare of the citizens. There is no entity capable of obstructing the BJP,” he stated.
With the upcoming elections for the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) approaching, Saha noted the evident enthusiasm among residents, showcasing a shift in the political atmosphere.
“As we celebrate Republic Day on Monday, we must acknowledge that India is a democracy and a republic, no longer a monarchy. Our Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, rose from humble beginnings as a tea seller. January 26 symbolizes the strength of our Constitution and democracy,” he mentioned, indirectly referencing the BJP’s junior ally, Tipra Motha Party (TMP), and its leader, Pradyot Bikram Manikya Debbarma, a former royal.
Saha firmly declared that politics centered around families or individuals lacks a future.
“We have witnessed the fate of family-oriented parties in various states. Such political approaches will no longer succeed. The public is now informed. In a democracy, the citizens hold the ultimate authority, and those who do not deliver will be dismissed,” he asserted.
In light of National Voters’ Day observed on Sunday, the Chief Minister welcomed first-time voters, encouraging them to play a pivotal role in determining the nation’s future.
“The future of not just Tripura but the whole nation lies in the hands of the youth. They must choose who governs both the state and the country,” he stated.
Taking a jab at regional parties, Saha remarked that many local factions emerged under the banner of ‘Tiprasa Tiprasa’ but failed to produce substantial outcomes.
“These parties were merely established to fulfill personal agendas. The public is now aware of this truth,” he added.
Saha asserted that the BJP-led administration, guided by Prime Minister Modi, is dedicated to the comprehensive development of tribal communities.
“The Prime Minister has consistently emphasized that India cannot progress without the development of the Northeast. Today, the region is advancing under the ‘diamond model’, as opposed to the past when it was marred by extremism,” he declared.
Saha also observed that some tribal youth in Tripura were previously led astray by extremism, but since the BJP came to power, there have been efforts to reintegrate them into mainstream society.
“We are providing financial assistance and rehabilitation support. If Tripura and the Northeast are to remain peaceful and developed, only the BJP and Prime Minister Modi can guarantee this,” he concluded.
Key BJP figures, including BJP Pradesh General Secretary Bipin Debbarma, MLAs Jitendra Majumdar and Bindu Debnath, former MP Rebati Tripura, and other party leaders, were present at the gathering.
