Patna, Oct 1 (NationPress) The official final voter list for all 14 Assembly constituencies within Patna district has been published in accordance with the directives of the Election Commission of India, following a Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process.

According to the final voter list, the district boasts 48,15,294 eligible voters, which includes 46,51,694 (92.16 percent) voters from the draft voter list released on August 1, and 1,63,600 voters who were added to the electoral rolls after that date.

Out of the 48,15,294 eligible voters, 25,40,363 are male, 22,74,774 are female, with 157 identified as third-gender voters.

For the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the district had 49,01,176 voters, comprising 25,76,433 males, 23,24,570 females, and 173 third-gender voters.

Tyagarajan S.M., the District Magistrate and District Election Officer, clarified that the reductions in voter count were attributed to the deaths of registered voters, permanent relocations outside the district or state, and instances of duplication (the same individual registered in multiple locations).

Following the final voter list, the Digha Assembly constituency records the highest number of voters, totaling 4,56,448, which includes 2,38,689 males, 2,17,739 females, and 20 third-gender voters.

Conversely, the Paliganj Assembly constituency has the lowest number of voters, with 2,83,537 total voters, including 1,49,721 males and 1,33,815 females, alongside one third-gender voter.

The final voter list, released on September 30, indicates that there are 157 third-gender voters. The Kumhrar Assembly constituency has 25 third-gender voters, while Patna Sahib and Bankipur each have 24. Digha has 20 third-gender voters, with the remaining 64 distributed across nine Assembly constituencies. Notably, Masaurhi is the only constituency without any registered voters in this category.

The Election Commission of India has launched an extensive awareness campaign in Patna aimed at ensuring that every eligible citizen is included in the electoral rolls and motivated to participate in the forthcoming elections.
