Jaipur, Oct 31 (NationPress) A significant blaze erupted at a resort located near the renowned Sam Sand Dunes late Thursday night, fueled by the fierce desert winds. In mere moments, several luxury tents were entirely consumed by flames, inciting panic among both tourists and local residents. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported.

At the time of the incident, numerous domestic and international visitors were present at the resort. Thanks to the swift action of the staff, all guests were successfully evacuated, with no injuries reported.

Upon receiving the alert, the officer from Sam Police Station arrived at the scene along with a dedicated team. Collaborating with local residents and resort personnel, the fire was contained after about an hour of intense firefighting efforts. Unfortunately, furniture, electronic devices, and various items within the tents were completely destroyed.

Witnesses reported that the strong winds at night made controlling the fire challenging, allowing it to spread quickly throughout the camp area.

Local residents utilized water tankers, sand, and any available resources to help extinguish the flames before the fire brigade's arrival.

According to police reports, a cultural event was taking place at the resort when the fire broke out. Tourists were enjoying a live folk music and dance performance in the open courtyard, which likely prevented a more significant disaster, as most guests were outside their tents during the incident.

While five tents were completely destroyed, two to three others suffered partial damage.

Initial investigations indicate that a short circuit may have triggered the fire, but the precise cause is still under investigation. Further details are forthcoming.

The police have summoned the FSL team for additional investigation, and an assessment of the total damages is currently in progress.
